Professional independence and responsibilities

The professionals practising at ÉQUANITÉ are self-employed and hold the diplomas and certifications required by the institutions relevant to their field. They are responsible for their schedules, professional actions and opinions. ÉQUANITÉ provides them with a workspace but has no authority or control over their practice. Each professional is responsible for maintaining the titles, practice permits, and professional and civil liability insurance required to practise on ÉQUANITÉ premises.

Confidentiality

Every client consulting a professional practising at ÉQUANITÉ has a right to confidentiality. Our consultation and treatment spaces provide a calm setting where personal information can be shared in an environment conducive to confidentiality. Patient records are kept locked. Although multidisciplinary collaboration may be possible and relevant, the patient’s written consent is required before information may be shared between professionals practising at ÉQUANITÉ or elsewhere.

Opening hours

Because each professional is responsible for their own practice, they are also free to determine the appointment times they offer. You can learn about your professional’s availability by contacting them by phone or, in some cases, by consulting their online booking calendar.

Fees and payment

Consultation fees are determined by each professional according to their qualifications, experience and field of practice. Please ask the professional directly about their rates and available payment methods. All professionals accept cash and personal cheques; only some accept credit cards.

Your professional may charge a cancellation fee if you are unable to provide at least 24 hours’ notice that you cannot attend your appointment. You may therefore be required to pay for the consultation despite your absence.
